Is Niemann officially gone? Please God say it's so...

wachashi 05-02-2022 12:23 PM

Spags is going to get creative with this guy.

You don't spend a round 3 pick on a guy that's only going to play 20% of snaps in your base as a SAM.

There's so much potential with this kid as a blitzer out of nickel and dime.

Brett Kollman had an interesting take on it...outside blitzer in wide 9 on passing downs. Makes the OL slide that way giving Jones and Karlaftis 1 on 1s.

If they don't slide Chanel will get sacks because RBs aren't gonna block him very well.

Not sure why, with all his flaws, we didn’t re-sign Robinson.

You don't want a player hanging around saying "this is the way we did things when Tyreek and Watson was here". Best to cut the cord and move on.

wachashi 05-02-2022 02:11 PM

He led the Badgers in both sacks and tackles for loss in 2020 and 2021.

The guy is going to have an opportunity right away here to rack up sacks and pressures.

Pretty obvious he was hand-selected by this staff to strengthen Spags' ability to disguise coverages and manufacture pressures by bringing extra rushers from various spots.

If you're a running back, you've got a much better chance of blocking Ben Niemann than you do Leo Chenal.

They gave away his jersey number.

I mean if I came into work tomorrow and the new guy was in my parking space and sitting at my desk, I wouldn't take it as a GREAT sign...

Oh sure, maybe they gave me a new office/spot - but I kinda doubt that's the case.

I think you can mentally move on from the Niemann Era...

How the hell does a white guy get a RAS of 9.99? I'd assume he has that tard strength, but his Wonderlic score says otherwise.

By binge-watching Sons of Anarchy while blaring Breaking Benjamin and bench-pressing car parts in his front yard.

Will be real interesting if he can fight off some of the beasts on the OL of other teams to get to the QB.

He looks like a gladiator. Me likee! :thumb:

Will be #49 unless a jersey number change before the season.

Like, it's not a coincidence they gave Karlaftis and Chenal 56 and 49 respectively, right? There's some assclownery afoot here.

;)

Josh is going to get his legs broken now if he tries that shit.

You do not block Leo Chenal. You only hope to get in his way long enough for your guy to escape.

kcclone 05-02-2022 10:05 PM

I would love to see them use Leo at edge for passing downs.

Him, Ingram, Jones and Katlaftis (or Frank) should be able to get pressure.
