Oh, and because Burrow ain't that good.

If it's not Allen, it's gonna have to be Herbert. I just don't see HoF tools in Burrow and that's the bar to be a rival to Mahomes.

He threw the pass of the year (that no one will talk about because the receiver dropped it) AFTER the injury.

70 yard pass in-the-air while on the run and hit the receiver right in the bread basket. One of the greatest throws ever and I believe longer than any QB currently playing has ever thrown it in a game.

Tl;dr - His arm is fine.

His arm may be fine, but that throw doesn’t mean he is, necessarily.

It’s not unusual for a pitcher with a TORN UCL to see a small velocity spike right before the injury. It’s a weird little phenomenon that happens occasionally.

Just spitballing here on zero information - is that like a deal where the ligament is "stretched" before it's torn, so it's almost like one of mahomes gumby ligaments for a bit before it finally goes?

That would be before the injury, not after it.

Wait, aren't you the asshat that a couple of weeks ago was spouting off about how Allen had passed up Mahomes?

BigRedChief 11-07-2022 05:42 PM

Surgery he is done for the year. He’s holding his arm. Rubbing his elbow and them they allowed him to throw a 70 yard Hail Mary. I’d be pissed if they risked Patrick’s arm to do that.

saphojunkie 11-07-2022 05:45 PM

Josh Allen is a ****ing awesome quarterback. Don't be stupid.

I hope they use Dwayne Haskins as a tendon donor if he needs TJ

He misses 4 games with a UCL sprain in 18, weird to see him having these issues.

Are we even sure the damn Bengals make the playoffs?? If the season ended today they are the #9 seed in the AFC with a 5-4 record. Road trips left @Titans, @Bucs,@Pats. Homes games vs Chiefs, Browns, Bills, Ravens. Youd be hard pressed to find a tougher remaining schedule in the entire league.

saphojunkie 11-07-2022 05:50 PM

I've been trying to tell my Bills friend that designed runs for a franchise QB is just asinine. I don't care how big and strong he is. You're voluntarily putting him in harm's way. That shit adds up and always faster than you think.

Peter Gibbons 11-07-2022 05:52 PM

Josh will be playing next week with more duct tape on his arm than a folding table at a mafia tailgate. No worries, just feed him some beef on weck and he’ll be as good as new.

His playing style has nothing to do with him being injured in the pocket.

Wasnt he knocked unconcious running for a first down against the Patriots a couple years back? He isnt going to be 25 forever. He keeps putting his body in harms way into his late 20s and 30s it is going to leave its mark and shorten his career drastically.

Allen got injured in the pocket.

Not running.
