When the metrodome collapsed 2010 , the Vikes played at TCF where the gophers played.
The building has been winterized and was shut down. The field did not have heaters under the turf, because it was not expected to be used that late in the year. (should have-see Iowa/Minn 2009, but that is another story)
It had to be cleaned, snow taken out, toilets fixed and un winterized, lines thawed, etc etc. It was a massive undertaking. They paid people to clear the stands and gave away tickets.
The field SUCKED.
As if playing on turf is not hard enough.....
