Well, I’m not worried about where he goes, but I am worried about being forced to trade him for something less than he’s worth playing for us this season on the tag. We still control his rights. If we’re not resigning CJ, we have the financial flex to allow him to play on the tag.

If the Chiefs don’t extend Jones by next week they run the risk of some other teams throwing ridiculous money at him. They really need to get this done ASAP before the legal tampering period starts. I assume they won’t deal Sneed until Jones is resigned.

If it’s not done this week, I’ll assume he’s gone.

If they’re as close as we’ve heard, then that should be feasible I’d think.

I’ve been 60pct chance they wind up with 1, 30pct they miss out on both, 10pct they sign both. I don’t see any reason to change that despite all these borderline meaningless rumors and reports.
