Whelp, I'm back on the market. We had a talk earlier this week about how neither one of us really saw much long-term relationship potential in the other, but decided to stick it out casually since we still liked one another. Predictably, things were uncomfortable and we mutually cut things off today.

I'm bummed because it was a pretty good two months, and I hate all the game playing that I'm going to have to do to find someone worth my time again and begin dating them. It was the right move, though, and I'll feel better about it before too long.

Got the whole talk about how long term I'm not right for her and that she doesn't see the point in keeping in a relationship if you know you're eventually going to break up. I agree with that.

There is an unfortunate expectation from women in my age group (low to mid twenties) for men to be at least a little arrogant. I'm not that way naturally, but I've found that if I act that way at first, I get positive attention from far more women, and not just the trashy ones.
