It's 1 preason game as a rookie. It's fun to pile on clay but it is what it is

Peyton Manning also threw for 3700 yards and 26 touchdowns. Numbers Geno won't even get half of.

It'll be interesting to see who is more successful in the CFL a couple years down the road, Geno or Tebow?

Kaepernick 08-24-2013 10:52 PM

I'm so glad Andrew Luck didn't go to the Jets. Ryan would have just ruined him u. That guy can't develop a QB for the life of him. A sane coach would have said, Sanchez is my guy this year and let Geno develop slowly all year, put him in December or wait until next year.

The Geno debate is now moot because Ryan is going to screw him up so bad, you will never know just what he could have become under McCarthy or Bellichick or Tomlin. Never mind my opinion that Geno was never going to amount to much. Now we will never know, because Ryan would even screw up an Andrew Luck.

When Geno is a bust, the people saying "see, I told you" won't have any argument. Anybody would bust out under Ryan. Anybody.

You're a ****ing idiot.

No one is "butthurt" over Geno's performance except for the Geno Mafia.

The ****ing guy threw three interceptions and stepped out of the end zone for a safety. As bad as Mark Sanchez has been over the years, Geno was worse.

Conversely, if Geno had thrown for 3 TD's and 300 yards, you could possibly apply that term to people that were steadfastly against him at 1.1.

But to say that me or anyone else is "butthurt" because he sucked ass is reeruned, which of course, suits you well.

Really only one of the picks was a dumb throw.

One he just overthrew a guy.

The other was a bad play by the WR.

That's not the point, at all.

I've said since November that the guy had poor pocket presence and wilts under pressure. He's a checkdown king with little to no leadership skills.

He may develop into an average to above average QB. But he was NOT worthy of first round selection, let alone 1.1, because he is NOT NFL ready.

Tonight's game proved that notion.

That really wasn't in response to your post(s). Was he worth pick 1.1? No. Judging by the shit that's been considered a first round QB in recent times, I'd say he was worth a one though.

He wasn't ready to be a starting NFL QB when he went into the draft, but I think there was a lot to like there. Starting for the Jets is a bad situation and I'd say the coaching on offense has been poor.

There's a reason Andy Reid didn't really care to bring Marty with him to KC to run the Chiefs offense.

Trent Green once threw 4 INTs to Deltha ****ing O'Neal in the same game. And NOT when he was a rookie on a bad team.

"Smart" Alex Smith (yes, he's a smart QB) looked like a ****ing dumbass out there for at least his first 6 seasons in the league. Can't beat out Mark Sanchez as a rookie? Try not being able to KEEP HIS JOB over the likes of Shaun Hill and JT O'Sullivan. But surely he was impressive as a rookie, right? If being pulled in and out of the lineup in between recovering from injuries and seeing action in only 9 games, throwing 1 TD and 11 INT in that time is impressive, then Geno Smith is already in the Hall of Fame.

And I'm not shitting on Alex Smith here. I'm really not. The dude is an intelligent QB. So was Trent Green. And so is Geno.

Smart players sometimes look like shit as rookies. Quite often they do. Especially when there's a steep learning curve that has to be met.

Speaking of steep learning curves, I was told I need to back off of Eric Fisher's shitty game that he had against San Francisco. It was preseason and he's a rookie, right? The dude had a good game tonight, but he also looked like garbage last week because he was in this "transition" to the NFL that was steeper than what other guys had to go through. Is Geno Smith, who plays a much MUCH more difficult position, not afforded the same grace period?
