To be fair, I notice as far as Tigers in the NFL go, Mizzou fans are pretty "meh" on Lock. Not just when he went to Denver, either. Pre-draft and everything. There was way more hype and positive feelings surrounding Blaine Gabbert than Drew Lock.

jjchieffan 08-03-2021 11:59 AM

Yeah. I'm a Mizzou fan and alum. I had high hopes for him when he came to MU. But he never lived up to the expectations. I thought that maybe if he got drafted by a team with a good QB developing coach that he might turn out to be okay. But then he got drafted by the Donks and I knew immediately that his pro career wouldn't be any better than his college career.

One week is generally good enough for what is likely a mild case of tendonitis.

If it flares up again I don't expect him to play many snaps in preseason.

Gabbert looked great until Suh damn near tore his foot off. That play gave him the yips, but before that he really looked like the part of a prototypical big-bodied big-armed NFL QB.

I think we like Chase Daniel more because there was some nostalgia there since he took us further than we'd ever been.

How long until people start panicking about Brown?

I get the sense that this is our most talented roster yet.

We have a great combination of proven studs and young talent.

You don't have to panic to acknowledge that he got his shit pushed in on 1v1's today.

Yea by the second most talented DT in the league. Nothing to be ashamed of for Brown

And Mike Danna.

You know who didn't get his shit pushed in by Chris Jones? Lucas Niang.

Brown got his ass kicked today.

It is what it is.

Based on everything I've read about Niang and Brown, Niang is the more talented of the two. Despite Brown's experience, maybe it takes him a little longer to "get going", so to speak.

Dante84 08-03-2021 02:15 PM

I hope Devon Key balls out in the preseason games.

I thought Niang was one up one down to open 1 v 1 with CJ?

Unlike Brown, Niang didn't end up on his ass.

Brown lost on some reps (badly on one), not a big deal. But we don't have to sit here and pretend like nothing happened either and that those reps were meaningless, because they weren't.

We should take note of it. Store it away in your brain and continue building a report as the days/weeks/months go on and use it all in its totality to form an opinion, and project from there.

That's all im sayin'.

I thought Nick Alegretti was a strong point on the line last year. Is he hurt or buried in the depth chart now? Haven't heard much about him

I wouldn't care if Mahomes himself was a beaker. Once they're on my NFL team, I couldn't care less where they played college ball.

I don't know what KU fans you're referring to but I want him to succeed because I am a Chiefs fan.

staylor26 08-03-2021 02:25 PM

Yea no shame in saying Brown had a rough first day.

He’s a guy that has said himself that he relies on timing and angles. He’s not going to be dominant on day 1 on a new team. I expect he’ll get better every day.

He was one of those losers who started in the Super Bowl embarrassment. **** him.

I want nothing more than Bolton being everything we envision him being, including All-Pro. He's a Chief.

Check his posts from overnight. He was thinking we should trade Tyreek citing Hill's potential for injury going forward.

Titty Meat 08-03-2021 02:38 PM

Bootle with the INT on the deep ball throw by Henne. Callaway seemed to fall down on the play. #Chiefs

Great breakup by DiCaprio Bootle. He timed that deflection perfectly. Buechele the QB I believe. #Chiefs

Bootle is also getting a lot of outside corner reps in this team walkthrough period. He’s swapping in with Charvarius Ward.

Dante84 08-03-2021 02:43 PM

3-TE: Kelce, Gray, Bell
6-WR: Hill, Hardman, Robinson, Pringle, Callaway, Powell

25- Defense
5-DT: Jones, Reed, Nnadi, Wharton, Saunders
5-DE: Clark, Okafor, Danna, Charlton, Kaindoh
4-LB: Hitchens, Gay, Bolton, Niemann
5-CB: Sneed, Ward, Hughes, Baker, Fenton
6-S: Mathieu, Thornhill, Sorensen, Parks, Key, Anderson
