Save your reply I've heard all of the half assed excuses of why he sucked before and will be good now.

I don't need him to be something he hasn't. Just the guy who was a few plays away from winning his conference. I know that it required a badass defense and a killer run game. I want those things no matter who is QB, so if Smith gets this team into the playoffs, I'm not pissed about the trade. I was ****ing sick and tired of watching a team that had no business even pretending they could compete with NFL teams.

Still want a franchise guy, and I want him drafted in the first round. If Bray turns into a wunderkind, then super duper. But I'm still staring straight at next year's crop of QBs and seeing who I want the Chiefs to go after.

Hey guy, he wasn't BAD last year. nothing about his turnover ratio, his completion percentage, winning percentage sucked. maybe you need to re evaluate your simplistic view, and try to expand your horizon. Nothing about his numbers sucked.......They just weren't as plentiful as people would of liked. Big ****ing deal. 20-5-1.

That's the only stat that matters at the end of the day.

This is a very logical and realistic way to look at this team in its current state.

Where we are now, and were we want to go.

Or kicked square in the chin. They're the same thing, really.

Why? What's wrong with Bray at #3 for at least one season, if not two? Isn't that what you and others were advocating for Geno Smith? Why should Bray be any different?

Romo sat on the bench for three and a half seasons before becoming the starter. If Bray sits the 2013 and 2014 season, he'll only be 23 years old to start the 2015 season.

23 years old, with two seasons under his belt...

None of the mouth breather fans seem to understand that the #2 QB on this team will be starting meaningful games this season.

Yeah, Chase Daniels.

I just think we're in deep deep shit if Alex Smith has to miss a few games.

I don't trust Daniel. At all. And I probably shouldn't trust Bray in his rookie year either, but at least it'd be some valuable experience for a guy who might actually have a future in the league potentially.

...or it could ruin him.

It would be a gigantic mistake to force a 21 year old rookie undrafted free agent, into an NFL game, regardless of how he's looked in training camp. He needs time to mature on and off the field, before playing.

He's the perfect developmental QB and throwing him into a pressure packed situation, something he didn't handle well at Tennessee, is the not the best way to develop him.

That's fine. High draft pick, pick a tackle, repeat.

Dayze 08-06-2013 12:50 PM

who do we think will be the 'surprise' cut this year?

if any.

Tony Dungy trusted Jim Sorgi and Curtis Painter.

Mike McCarthy trusts Graham Harrell.

Shitass QBs get put in the QB2 spot all the time.

Baltimore, Cincy, Dallas, San Fran, Denver, Green Bay, Atlanta, Carolina, The NY Giants and New Orleans are in "deep shit" if they lose their starters.

I think the Chiefs are probably in better shape than most, if not all, of those teams.

They didn't "trust" them: They had no better options.

And Green Bay just signed Vince Young, so no, they don't trust Graham Harrell.
