I wonder if the delay is that the terms are dependent on the Rams getting an extension done with Peters?

Or are the Chiefs getting a player back and trying to get something done there?

Apparently they were advised by the league to not talk about it on any official capacity until the start of the new business year for the league. What we know right now has been leaked to Adam Schefter and Terez Paylor (I think).

Again, it sucks losing a player of his obvious caliber on the field, but he just sounds like a headache of a teammate and employee.

Here’s the video

He mentioned in the Emergency Podcast that he was trying to get more info, but that no one is talking - not even to the national guys.

The tweet from Knowmo was false. 1) Sully fabricated the trade details via a fake account as someone pointed out, and 2) they don’t have that 7th round pick from Baltimore anymore evidently.

There's video of it

I thought Peters and Lynch were related. If Peters hanging out with family is embarrassing just because said member plays for the Raiders... Just...

They are cousins, IIRC.

That particular info may be false, but I do believe the actual return to be pretty close to that.

You don’t think it’s a problem if he didn’t travel with the Chiefs and didn’t even bother letting them know he wouldn’t be?

Sorry, but I'm just not buying that as an excuse for the Chiefs. Peters has shown himself to be a ****ing asshole ever since he's been playing televised football in College. If the Chiefs weren't ready to deal with his personality issues, then don't draft the guy.

They fired the guy that drafted him, no time machines available. Deal with it.

If we believe the various rumors leaked over the last 24 hours why would the Rams give more than a 3rd round pick for a player who:

1. Cursed out his mom
2. Was going to be traded even before the Jets game
3. No other teams were interested in
4. Is a hot head malcontent
5. Fights with coaches
6. Couldn't even get along with Saint Reid
7. Demanded a trade and would refuse to play for KC
8. Is going to be demanding to be paid the highest CB in the league
9. Doesn't tackle and/or follow scheme
10. Is an off field risk of becoming a drug addict or worse

According to an NFL scout who spoke to the Seattle Times, that relationship could do Peters' reputation more harm than good.

"A huge red flag. He's a talented kid, no doubt. And it only takes one team (to fall in love with a player). From all the stuff that he's been involved in and the chances he's gotten and the immaturity he's shown, it's going to be tough for him," the scout said. " ... They're all professionals up here and they won't put up with that (expletive). Hanging out with Marshawn (Lynch), that was probably the worst thing for him."

Scouts saw this coming before the draft. And there you go... that’s why barely anyone wanted to trade for him. Sucks to lose a player with his ability but there was obvious good reason for it. Veach isn’t an idiot

Sure, it's a problem in the sense that you call him in for a meeting. Not contemplate cutting him and then ultimately trading him for a garbage compensation when his production on the field was still some of the best this league has to offer.
