Seriously, what is with the nitpicking? Geno's a goddamn rookie.

Double standards need to **** off. Pretend Geno is a Chief and you'll see how exciting it would be to have him here.

Just trying to establish a single standard on who gets credit for defensive penalty yards. Do they credit the QB for those yards? (they being PFF of course).

As far as pretending Geno is a Chief.......

I just don't have it in me to type what I'm thinking. There are just too many ways to go with that one.

No.

But Geno forced that defenders hand because he's a scrambling threat. They failed to knock him out of bounds earlier in the game and it resulted in a first down.

But homers don't care about that. Nor do they care about the fact that Geno had to run 30 yards to draw the penalty.

It looked to me like Tampa did not want to win that game, and finally got it lost.

Dinny

You understand that some times defensive penalties prevent a play from being made right and the same with offensive penalties like holding? Like when a CB gets beat and has to grab. You don't know that the QB won't make that play, but technically the penalty gave them a first down. That's just being reeruned.

You don't like facts.

Crabtree 09-11 dropped 1 pass for every 8 he caught.

Crabtree 2012 dropped 1 pass for every 15 he caught.

His role in the offense adjusted.

And your BS make-believe fact you pulled out your butt about how Troy Smith allowed Crabtree to emerge.

In 6 games Crabtree totaled 19 catches for 344 yards

Crabs' numbers spiked as soon as Kaep was named the starter. Since you like to pull up stats. Why don't you pull up Crabs' numbers with Kaep and his numbers with Alex.

Crabs had BETTER numbers that year with Troy Smith. He had more touchdowns with Troy than he did with Alex.

Smith does not push the ball downfield and doesn't throw to receivers who are NFL "open" that explains the meager numbers receivers have had with him. This isn't ****ing rocket science. It's OK to admit that other QB's are more successful than he as with other players. Are you his mother? Stop protecting him like he's your child.

I think it's hilarious when Genos haters are all like "I liked him until the draft"

Hahahhahaha

Yeah, that basically says "I liked him until he wasn't gonna be a Chief, now I want his babies to die of aids cancer"

FFS, people are running around the forum acting like some here need to apologize about disliking Alex Smith because he had an AVERAGE game with less than 200 yards of offense while facing the worst team in the league...but will stop at nothing to try and discredit Geno beating a team that is FAR SUPERIOR TO JACKSONVILLE IN EVERY WAY while putting up over 300 yards of offense and being his teams leading rusher.

That last second cut to get the first down was sneaky.

Can't believe he has already done this in his first game.

Hammock Parties 09-12-2013 01:23 PM

The dude is not gun shy at all. He itches to let the Choco Cannon fire.

Also, the guy has done a tremendous job transitioning to playing under center.

I honestly thought the speed of the game was going to be too much for him this year, and it looked that way in preseason. But by the second half Sunday he looked like he had adapted.

I didn't even show one GIF of a play where the Bucs sent a huge blitz and he calmly flipped the ball out for a first down to the hot read.

GENO

Keep up the Geno gifs clay. =)
Thanks!

Well for me, I began to dislike him when the stuff came about his etiquette during his Chiefs interview, then he's body language at the draft turned me off. I actually dislike him like I disliked Grbac, so him being a Chief or not, has nothing to do with it. I also hated Elway and his demeanor. So for me, this has nothing to do with A Smith or anyone else, or his talent or lack of, I just dont like Geno. I dont like what I see when I see his interviews, body language etc. and I have that right, just like you have the right to love him and wish he was a Chief. Im glad he isnt.

Molitoth 09-12-2013 01:31 PM

I can understand you not liking some of his antics on the sidelines, and the draft...
but.

Really? The dude is nothing but class in interviews. He accepts all the blame and talks about how much he can improve... consistently. This is not Matt Cassel grading out perfect.

As he gets more experience, he is going to get more cocky... (Tom Brady gets pretty damn cocky too if you watch).
So I expect you to hate him more... because he's just going to get more comfortable behind center.

I wish people besides 49er fans hated our QB... but Alex Smith doesn't scare anyone.

There is jsut something about him I DONT LIKE. Something, I dont know exactly, but when I see him in interviews, I just want to change the channel. I flat out dont like guy. he could be a HOFer, and I still wouldnt like the guy.

BTW, Im from So Cal, and I get asked all the time how did I become a Chiefs fan? One of the biggest reasons?? I ****ing hated John Elway so much that I wanted him crushed as often as possible, and I became a fan of KC one game in the early 90s becasue they did just that! I also knew Stephon paige and had a good friend who was KC fan, but Elway getting almost killed one game by KC defense made me hop on the bandwagon, and I havent left. I HATED Elway, and he was a pretty damn good QB.

It's a woman's prerogative to be irrational about feelings and stuff. Just smile and nod. ;)
