Tyler Palko wasn't Drew Brees understudy for four seasons. Tyler Palko didn't spend three full seasons with Sean Payton.

The "For all we know" is a bullshit hand. You don't know anything about him, so you're choosing to believe he's shit.

The fact of the matter is that one well-known QB guru, who not only helped to revive Kerry Collins' career and help him reach the Super Bowl, who helped groom Tony Romo, who helped Drew Brees become one of the all-time greats and a Super Bowl winner, kept Daniel on the roster for four seasons.

Now, another renown QB guru has chosen to work with him.

I think I'll hold my breath before unequivocally stating he's garbage.

Like that awesome guy who was Tom Brady's understudy? Proximity is not equality.

You guys are all right: Sean Payton kept him on the roster for no reason.

I'm sure Daniel is the same exact guy that went undrafted in 2008.

Silly me.

That's pretty flimsy evidence that he's a good QB.

He has been shitty in camp.

Why is it so difficult for you to provide a simple answer?

Why are you asking me a question in which you already know the answer?

Thanks for following up by the way. Really appreciate it.

No one gave him those jobs. He earned them.

Yeah, Payton and Reid are clueless when it comes to QB's. They should trust you instead.

Well, they wanted Alex Smith, so their judgment is in question.

Again, coaches keep shitty QBs on rosters all the time because they're already there. That was Peyton Manning and Jim Sorgi for a long time.

I doubt Sean Payton thought that Daniel was scum, but he also probably wasn't really turned on by the guy. He was a player Payton liked, who probably knew the playbook really well, and was low maintenance. If Brees went down, Payton's probably shitting his pants, and I'll bet he tells his GM to go find some veteran QBs who might be able to join the team pronto.

That's fine for a game or two. When you get an entire season of that shit, that's when you run into real trouble. Just ask Jim Caldwell and Curtis Painter.

Andy Reid is basically infallible, guys.

Complete and utter speculation.

And you can ask Bill Polian if would still have his job had he ever attempted to upgrade his backup QB position.

FYP

Sorry, but 4 years of tutelage with a super bowl HC and QB doesn't mean shit.

Tiger's Fan 08-06-2013 05:04 PM

Chase Daniels is so good the aints were willing to do anything to keep someone as valuable as him on their roster.

Oh, wait...

Sooo... we're in agreement now?

Yes, Polian still has his job if he bothers to invest in an heir to Peyton Manning the way the Packers did with Aaron Rodgers.

It was that very offseason before news of Manning's neck injury when some people questioned why they didn't select Andy Dalton when he was sitting right there in the draft.
