The fact of the matter is that one well-known QB guru, who not only helped to revive Kerry Collins' career and help him reach the Super Bowl, who helped groom Tony Romo, who helped Drew Brees become one of the all-time greats and a Super Bowl winner, kept Daniel on the roster for four seasons.

Now, another renown QB guru has chosen to work with him.

I think I'll hold my breath before unequivocally stating he's garbage.

I doubt Sean Payton thought that Daniel was scum, but he also probably wasn't really turned on by the guy. He was a player Payton liked, who probably knew the playbook really well, and was low maintenance. If Brees went down, Payton's probably shitting his pants, and I'll bet he tells his GM to go find some veteran QBs who might be able to join the team pronto.

That's fine for a game or two. When you get an entire season of that shit, that's when you run into real trouble. Just ask Jim Caldwell and Curtis Painter.
