Guess which criteria there is the most interesting one considering the present discussion. It isn't the top one.

You can't argue the last one, they went and beat a top 15 team by 2 scores with the third string QB.

I actually watched the entire game, so you can't keep repeating this like it means anything. They looked like complete shit against a team that lost to Pitt and it was in question right until the very end.

Given the state of their offense, they'll get absolutely destroyed by any of these other teams if they get picked.

And Alabama would be a 24 point favorite on them if they played tomorrow.

They're an undefeated team in a power 5 conference. The committee isn't and shouldn't come out and say "well we're not picking them because there QB is hurt even though they won the last 2 games he didn't play in and just beat a 10 win team. They didn't win by enough points."

If a team like Louisville (who lost to Pitt and got worked by a mediocre UK team last week) made the championship game, it's pretty clear that not all power 5 conferences are made equal.

Well, it's on top of their prioritizing their selections of comparable teams. I'd argue they're not comparative as FSU is undefeated https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d46db00fa6.jpg

The “unavailability of key player” will be used to keep FSU out.

1) Michigan
2) Washington
3) Texas
4) Alabama

5) FSU
6) Georgia

And Alabama will open as at least a touchdown favorite over Michigan in their CFP Semifinal Game

Not sure why your obsessed with the Pitt loss. As if good teams don't sometimes have shit games and lose. Louisville beat Notre Dame and NC State.

You're missing the key part

"The selection committee will select the teams using a process that distinguishes among otherwise comparable teams by considering:"

An undefeated power 5 team isn't comparable to a 1 loss power 5 team.

A team that lost to a 3-9 Pitt and lost to a 7-5 UK just last week made the ACC conference championship and we're just gonna pretend that the ACC is the same as the SEC?

Again, not all P5 conferences are made equal.

You're right, they're way worse than Bama. Georgia too for that matter.

I mean an undefeated Cincinnati in 2021 from the AAC made the CFP by winning at ND.

Did that make them a top 4 team in the country? I seem to recall an embarrassment in the SF game.

They lost 27-6.

The 5th team was ND.

It's an argument of best vs deserving.

Because, the whole point of the committee is to pick the 4 best teams. FSU is not a better team than Bama without the starter.

It's that simple.

They can say what they want it's about the 4 teams that got it done and FSU didn't lose a game and beat a top 15 team with a 3rd string qb who was terrible. The deserve to be in if not then why play the games?

dtrain 12-03-2023 01:15 AM

So Michigan, Washington, and Florida State are in how do you decided between Alabama, Georgia, and Texas? I'd say Georgia who was number one all year because if you put Alabama in Texas has a legit argument.
