I am thinking about starting an exercise regimen. How do you guys feel about steady state cardio? Would an hour a day be good?

In the thread starter I would suggest the Texas Method over Madcow for the early intermediate. Madcow ramps up to a top set while the TM is sets across and will produce better results for someone who can make weekly process.

I would suggest two hours per day. Also a high carb diet, low in fat and moderate in protein.

Add in some light weight lifting and you will be golden.

When I make it back to the gym on Monday it will have been three weeks since my last workout. Going to be a painful week!

This is an interesting read.

Check out the FIFA requirements for fitness.

I don't have to do quite as much for the level I ref at but I am still averaging 4-7 miles each game and from 4-15 games per week all while adding strength.

No wonder my food bill is so damn high.

I was not warned at how good mint oreos were. Finished an entire row last night as my sort of last supper before starting this CKD/low carb frenzy. Going to start out with keto macro's and slowly remove the fats so it ends up more like a PSMF, then possibly add a carb day on weekend depending on energy levels and how flat I get. I dont really want to rip out carbs and fats together and leave myself with absolutely nothing to use for energy except protein. I am expecting some strength loss but I believe BCD ran/is still running keto and did not lose strength.

BCD- did you throw any carbs in at all, weekend or PWO?
Silock- how far into your PSMF did you add carbs on the weekend? (can't remember if you just followed UD 2.0 or not).

Probably from that silly diet experiment. o:-)

Silock 06-12-2014 12:50 PM

Probably lol

Really bummed. I was actually looking forward to it. It works so well. Problem is that the workouts and diet are so intense, I'd never get well if I tried to start it now.

Sent you a PM. How is their workout laid out? Wondering if I can continue 5/3/1 on that diet or just run it as prescribed.

Meh. I've spent probably 15% of my life with either a sinus or ear infection. It's not that bad to work through. Respiratory infections though are a different story.
