I’m the same way. I know losing is best for the franchise at the moment, but once the game is on I’m rooting for a win. I cannot actively root for any of my teams to lose.

We have the best record in the league in the 2nd half of the season.

I'm at the point that having the #1 overall pick is meaningless with Moore's drafting team at the reins. So I'd rather just see them win.

This is how I feel. The MLB draft is such a crapshoot. I’ve been rooting for wins all season... shows you how much pull my cheering has. :D

I want them to lose and but the young guys to play well, as well as tradeable assets.

Ill take my chances with the number 1 overall.

Another big name on the move, the Mets traded Familia to the A's today. Oakland is going for it. The Mets got a 23 year old 3B in A ball who is Oakland's 17th ranked prospect, plus a 26 year old reliever in AAA.

The success rate of top 3 picks and especially 1-2, is light years better than that of the rest of the first round.

It makes a difference.

Being one game worse in 2007 means Price instead of Moustakas. In 2010, it means Machado instead of Colon. In 2011, Bundy instead of Starling.

So absolutely lose to get into the best draft position possible.

I turned the game off after Hammel in the 8th. I thought they'd blow it. They tried but just couldn't get it done. Damn....we can't even win the race to the bottom!

Why Not? 07-21-2018 02:57 PM

Well, I certainly want them to win tonight since I'm in town and it's the one game I'll be able to make this season.

Thinking about getting tix for tomorrow but my son wants to see Salvy play. Does he ever play on a Sunday afternoon?

He's usually the DH on Sundays, but of course if you don't go he'll be behind the dish.

Let's get these trade(s) going. Get rid of Moose and anyone else we can, cement our suckitude and the #1 pick.

By the sounds of it there are 2 surefire ones in the draft next year.
