-$700k in legal fees and missed game checks, let alone the insurance rates he will have to pay the next 10 years. That's a lot for a rookie contract. Oh and my son, he had just gotten his license, and was driving way to fast with a friend in the car, rolled twice and the car ended up on the roof. Thank God no one was seriously hurt. He lost his license for 3 months and we grounded him. 10 years later and he hasn't had a speeding ticket. He was lucky, knew it, and learned his lesson. Young people do stupid shit. Rice lost a lot more than you think in this incident. I don't think there's a fan on here who isn't pissed at him and lost major respect for him. He will have to earn that back. He was lucky, is willing to except the consequences and hopefully be a good citizen after this incident. |

You’re right; young people make mistakes and you hope they learn from them. But in this case it’s a bit different because of the indifference Rashee Rice showed towards those he might have hurt. Dude didn’t bat an eye about walking away and that speaks to his character. Yeah, maybe we just chalk it up as being young and dumb, but that shouldn’t excuse Rashee Rice for his lack of humanity. I can’t excuse that, sorry. That transcends his importance to the Kansas City Chiefs. |
I see him getting this down to a misdemeanor and unsupervised probation. He will probably get 2-4 weeks suspension. Omenihu only got a 6 game suspension for domestic violence stuff and there's no way Rice gets close to that.
He has to pull his head out of his ass though and grow up though, because anything like this happens again and he's gonna get much harsher punishment. These idiots need to stop doing idiotic shit that puts other people's lives at stake. Terrible look for him and a good way to get tons of hate. |
I think some in here need this video. Happiest dog in the world.

There used to be a man that walked along 7 highway and Bundschu in Independence. He was homeless, and always walking. One day, I became momentarily distracted while driving. The edge of the road caught my tire, and pulled both passenger side tires off the road for a second. Just as I pulled over the lip, back onto the road, I crested a hill, and that man was walking. Literally 3-5 more seconds and I would have run him over. There is no doubt in my mind he would have died. I was going 55. The entire incident took probably around 10 seconds. It could be just as simple as they were acting dumb, revving the engines, and because they aren't racecar drivers, they lost control. My point is, yeah, this was incredibly dumb, but maybe it was just a few seconds of making poor decisions, and this isn't a real problem with his character. |
