I know it sounds silly. I'm not saying he needs to do those things. That is beyond my point entirely. I was just asking if he ever really embraced being a Chief and the face of the team. It's a fair question for any star that is supposed to be the leader of the team. Looking back I kind of get the feeling that he never saw KC as home, and was always going to go to the highest bidder. Is that not exactly what he's doing now?

Is it not fair to expect the guy this team drafted and made the highest paid safety from day one to not be completely unreasonable with his second contract when he never really lived up to the first? I feel like some of you are missing the facts. He's been a dick about this. Plain and simple. When push came to shove the organization didn't make the "business decision". Why shouldn't we expect the family mentality to be reciprocal, or even appreciated/acknowledged?

Eric Berry clearly doesn't give a **** about the Chiefs. Guys like Charles and Hali do. It's dissapponting, but I still love him and I hope he gives us his best year yet before he goes elsewhere to get paid. My perception of him has quickly changed over this offseason though, and it's honestly not due to bias. I'm genuinely shocked at how he's handled things.

I agree! Players applaud Berry because they know not only its a business but they would set out as well in the meantime as less opportunity to get hurt and miss some work. Who wouldn't like missing some additional work?:clap::shrug:
