There's really nothing wrong with recruiting 3-4 year types. We've had plenty of very good ones over the years (Chalmers, Sherron, Aldrich, TRob, Tyshawn, Withey, etc.) and they've aided us greatly. You just better make sure you get the right ones, though, and not the Ellis/Selden soft as Charmin types.

I agree. I think its not only okay but essential to the long term success of a college BB team.

Is a home win over a worse Kentucky team really going to make you feel better about this team and its chances? It changes absolutely nothing.

They were obviously caught looking ahead in the 2nd half last night. Classic tarp game.

That's probably where all their energy has been these past few weeks. Conserving it all for this weekend's SB.

Well Bearcat, I expected trolls after tonight's loss but this is a new standard.

This is just BS. I'm ticked off about Lucas playing and not Diallo but, anyone can see the valid reasons as to why Self is making that decision.

Who is a better coach than Self that we could bring in? I think that Self makes most peoples top 5 coaches in college BB list. What more do these people want?

I'd take Coach K, maybe Calipari, maybe Izzo. That's it. That's the entire list of coaches even comparable to his level of success at KU.

Why would Izzo ever leave? Not a chance in hell of K ever leaving Duke.

Calapari is the only possible one out of those three. He would not stay long term either. Then what do you do?

Yep, the odds are not good for #12. OU is that good. We'd need to beat them on the road now to have any real chance.

There would have to be a HUGE turnaround for that to happen.

You're leaving off a pretty obvious one.

Just takes one good game. But yeah, OU should win that one.

One good game from start to finish. When is the last time we did that? The OU game a few weeks back? And it took 3OT's

Or one bad one from OU.

And it doesn't matter how long it's been or what happened last time or whatever, sports don't work like that. OU did just lose at ISU last week and won in Stillwater by a basket... and I'm not arguing OU isn't all that, because they are.
