No offense to Ian, but even they can be wrong. Schefter at first said a 2nd rounder for Smith.

I asked a simple question....of all those guys who would you want? I never said he wasn't good....I'm just saying he isn't the best. He WON'T tackle....and has the feast or famine mentality when covering. Add that to his temper and ability to lose his cool and you take away points. I'll even answer it for you and make it simple. If I had to take that situation I would go A.J. Bouye any day over Marcus Peters. |
Fescoe is stupid. Like if its embarrassing waiting a week would change that.

He may be a turnover machine.....but a tackling machine he ain't. In fact his tackling skills make Deion Sanders look like Dick Butkus. |

You asked a ****ing hypothetical question that doesn't matter what the answer is because its a fantasy. Marcus Peters has been one of the best statistical CB's in the league since he entered, period. |

Also the fact that this defense is built of generating turnovers, and there are still other needs to be addressed (depth, front 7 talent, pass rush, etc) |
A.J. Bouye wasn't even a starter at this point in Peters career.
|
Mitchell had 1 Int and 4 tackles while filling in for Peters.
I get it. Peters can make plays. But it's not like he is the only one in the NFL. If our overall team defense is better... and it has been pretty poor the past two seasons... who cares? |

And that I would take Bouye and a couple of other CB over him any day...for many reasons. |

What some of you guys are doing, is assuming the complete idiocy of our organization, most of us have come to the realization that if they were willing to take such drastic action... then what WE know about Peters is only the tip of the iceberg Cut Veach and co some slack, give them a chance to replace Peters with a quality starter before declaring this to be the worst move in the history of football... thats all most of us are saying |
