Why would Minnesota do this? Do they not want to win this year or next? KAT is a big part of that.

Honestly, this is where I am, including my own thoughts. KAT has been a problem for the Wolves for a while now. At the same time, they're going to need people to put the ball in the hole. I love that it opens up cap space, but it certainly makes the haul in the Gobert trade look that much more ridiculous, even if nothing is quite as valuable as the protected pick they get back.
