Playcalling the next few weeks will probably be similar to what we saw the last 3 quarters of the game today. Get the ball out quick to help prevent the hits on him.

suzzer99 09-08-2019 04:00 PM

According to Dan Fouts - Mahomes will never be the same, and Minshew is now the heir apparent next great QB.

Wonder if we bring Shurmur up this week as an emergency qb3.

Cheater5 09-08-2019 04:01 PM

The sky isn’t falling. It’s amazing what therapy and treatment can do in six days on a 23 year old body. And not every team can bring pressure like the Jags do—

I also believe the kid is every bit as tough as Favre.

Play Shurmur/Moore against the Fade. **** it, they suck.

tbh. if it's something with the potential to get worse or affect his play significantly just let him rest and heal up. raiders are trash anyways and we could sneak out a win without mahomes.

Well he gets a break next week against the raiders. So that should help.

NEVER discount our blood rival. I don’t care that they are a joke, a rivalry that deep knows no boundaries - as has been proven in both teams’ favor over the years.

Mahomes did not seem concerned about it in his presser, and neither did Andy.

He will take it easy in practice this week and be ready to go Sunday.

Hopefully we can jump up 45-0 on the Faiders at halftime and he can take the second half off. :)

Yup and I believe Reid said Pat told him he had similar ankle injuries before. I am not worried about Pat at all he is tough as ****.

They do! Shurmur.

Step up your pass protection game, OL.

You don't sniff a ring if this kid can't play.

This guy is the Chiefsinsider of doctors. Why is he verified?

He’s fine

Hammock Parties 09-08-2019 04:12 PM

He spent 16 years as a trainer in the NFL.

What he says has SOME merit.

I don’t like this guy.

Yep, they need to be toting the ice buckets for his ankle, plus maybe some ketchup & macNcheese!

Actually, from what I saw, on a few plays Mahomes was:

1. Not recognizing the blitz.

2. Holding the ball WAY too long.

The OL had a few issues, but Mahomes did not do a good job of protecting himself on that field.

That's kind of what I saw, too.

He needs to recognize the blitz and alert to his hot routes, and take what the defense gives him. Far too often today, he didn't take the short ball until after his ankle was all boogered up.
