If it was me, I'd take her to New York.
If you want something completely different, go to Santa Fe and get a hotel on the town square. There are some great spas there for pampering oneself, and if you stay downtown it's a very unique city. It's also small enough that four days is a reasonable amount of time to spend there. |

So thats $600 You got to stay some place thats not a rat hole. Lets say $150 a night, 3 nights thats $450, so lets say $500 with taxes. So we are at $1100 with out doing anything. $100 bucks a day for food. Could it be cheaper? Yes, but we like to go out for nice meals when on Vacation. Lets say $300 $1400, plus any activitys OK maybe I should look at doing this for $1500 |

More power to ya... it's just funny to hear that it's "cheap" compared to all the ways we tried to save to go on those trips while on a college budget. I love to travel, so if I ever get a job that allows it, I'm sure I'll spend lots and lots of money on vacations ;) |

Rental car, souvenir t-shirts and refrigerator magnets, entry into some shows or exhibits or something, and you'll spend more on food than that. Maybe $2,000, but more likely $2,250. |
