After everybody left San Diego we had a five hour snap shot of departures out of the area which basically had three lines of airplanes eminating out of San Diego: One north to the Bay Area (the loser's trail) one to Tampa Bay (the winner's trail), and one towards New York (the money trail). -HH |

I'd stick with the real stuff personally. |
What if KC builds a new stadium, gets a Super Bowl & it's a Raiders or Broncos vs Cardinals
|
Man, Petro was ALL OVER this today.
Whitlock apparently said something that set him off. He said most of the stuff in this article was "manufactured" by that "fat tub of goo"... |

Keitzman is basically saying the Chiefs can go F themselves, the Royals need a downtown stadium. What Petro was so pissed about was what ZootedGranny brought up - Tagliabue didn't AT ALL say what Whitlock attributed to him... |

As for the Royals, the fact they don't sell well is WHY they need a new stadium...less seats + downtown = more successful team financially. |
Does anyone else think the Chiefs should install the grassy turf stuff? In the past Lamar didn't want to do it because of Soccer....but he no longer owns the soccer team....of course they might still play at Arrowhead, I'm not sure.

I'll take a Super Bowl win by the Chiefs in any other city, versus hosting a Super Bowl any day.
Getting kind of tired of owners who are multi-millionaires, but expect the taxpayers to foot most of the bill. While I certainly expect my tax dollars to be used towards venues, I think proportionately the owner's need to pony up a bit more. After all, the return on their investment will be huge nearly immediately. Offering to pony up $25M on a $500M stadium is a bit skewed IMO. ...I'm probably just cynical. |

Chances are Lamar will be gone by the time KC hosts the super bowl. But if the timing is right, KC will represent the AFC in its home stadium.
I hope Whitlock isn't suggesting Weaver is a hack. Wayne has to be the greatest pitch man in the history of the NFL. First of all, he somehow convinced the NFL to come to Jacksonville a month after they already selected a city in the southeast (Charlotte). Then he gets a Super Bowl in a city who's metro population is comparable West Palm Beach(FL), Oklahoma City or Louisville, Kentucky. This man could sell a food processer to an Amish family! |
