Mar. 3 - In an effort to replace LaMont Jordan, the Jets are pursuing Chiefs running back Derrick Blaylock, the Newark Star-Ledger reports. The 5-foot-9, 210-pound Blaylock rushed for 539 yards and eight touchdowns last season.
"Several teams are interested in Derrick, but our focus is the Jets," Blaylock's agent, Mike Huyghue, told the newspaper. "(Jets GM) Terry Bradway was in Kansas City. (Running back coach) Dick Curl knows Derrick as well. He feels very comfortable coming there. It's a great opportunity."
