I actually don't think that's the case now. Depending on how the draft falls, I can envision a few situations where drafting offense would be warranted. I also don't want tunnelvision, where we take an inferior player because we're locked on something.

This is a big issue in America. Diminishing goals. Since we sat on our hands last season and did nothing it seems since we are doing something this off season that is good. I say thats normal, not good. Was it some secret that we needed LB and CB help? After last year they had no choice, no one left to blame.

But the bottom line is that we are a much better football team with Surtain on our defense than we are with Bartee over there. Probably a win or two right there with Bartee on the sidelines.

A little advice: I think you need to spend some more time around here reading what people have to say before you make comments like that.

Carl is terrible with the draft. But he's done a fairly solid job with free agency and trading, although he can be a little too antagonistic in contract negotiations for my tastes. And he's been brilliant as the team President, turning Arrowhead Sundays into an event.

In other words, I may judge harshly, but I judge fairly. Don't toss me in with the carl-bashing crowd. I've never been one of them.
