This is silly.

This is like madden when you can't get them to trade a draft pick for a player no freaking matter what but right after the draft when rookie ratings are assigned and your 5 year veteran who notches them by 2 points is suddenly more attractive.

Ask this question is 3 years.


I agree Surtain is a stud and will help this d. However, how many people would have traded a stud cb for Jerry Rice before he played a game? How many would have after his first couple of seasons?

This could be the year we all look back on and say "how could we have passed on future hall of famer Joe Blow from Anemic State and picked up Patrick Surtain who did nothing more than blow out his knee in the first game of the season..."

But that's life in the NFL. Carl made the smart move for what we needed. No way I would change.
