Damn I must be bored. Average seems to be 19,189.

I like the design. It's certainly not as flashy as the one we saw back when the DADT presented, but I was sort of expecting that.

And, it seems to me that 18k ought to be big enough for an NBA team in a smaller market...

Mecca 08-18-2005 01:50 PM

The NBA teams that have large arenas, the Net's being an example even when alot of people show up their arena looks empty. It's possible to make it to big, leave it to Jersey.

By the way there's probably going to be a revival in NHL popularity now with a cap being added to their league and many rules changes.

I love the design!

I hate the name! Sprint is one of the worst corporations in the world. I can't wait until somebody puts them out of business.

You know posting how you want a company that employs alot of people in this city, and probably on this board, to go out of business. Probably isn't the smartest idea in the world, you shouldn't want people to lose jobs in the crappy job market we have now.

With the Nextel merger, that's probably not going to happen anytime soon.

My father is a director there. I'll be sure to tell him how you feel. :D

Honestly, I don't mind that you have a negative view of Sprint at all (that's your prerogative), but you ought to realize that many, many people here are either employed by them o know someone who is. Calling for their bankruptcy probably isn't the best of ideas.

Plus, with the Nextel merger official now, it seems unlikely "someone will put them out of business" anytime soon. They may never compete for the top spot in the industry, but they should be more than able to survive for a good while now.

It looks like a ring. I like it.

BigChiefFan 08-18-2005 02:15 PM

I'm damn glad they stuck with the glass theme with the changing colors. This looks like a nice design. This will become a cool destination. I can't wait.

This is gonna be cool. I'd like to see some drawings of the inside. 7 LEVELS?!?!?

I work downtown in the 1201 Walnut building so I'll get to watch them build the arena from bottom to top, just like I am currently watching the new H&R Block building seem like it gets a new floor on a daily basis. Downtown is growing fast. The entertainment district will be sweet when that is done..... and to be able to get off work, walk home and change, walk to the entertainment district and eat, then walk to the arena to watch a game, then walk back to the entertainment district to party in some of the clubs, then walk back home is something I am looking very forward to!

You'll have to sign up to see all of the pics.
