Denver is good, but they are one dimensional offensively. Our problem is that we cannot exploit that, and they haven't played a defense that can do that thus far.
Plain and simple, there aren't many good defenses in the NFL right now, and even the really good ones have a hard time against a team that constantly cut blocks and gets away with it because they are Denver. They also have not had to play from behind this year at all, and when they do they will get exposed for what they are--a team that can't rely on their quarterback to win games for them. They can only rely on Plummer to not lose games. |
They are a balanced, complete football team. Something we have not seen in years.

They are not balanced. They are nothing without their running game. Even their passing game is a running game in disguise. It's all a derivative of the sprint right option play. If you put 9 in the box and actually have speed on defense as well as the discipline for people to use gap contain to filter them in you can beat them.

That's a lot of if's. So far today they have run for 92 yds. and thrown for 144 in the 1st half. Pretty balanced. |
No it's not, it's one scheme, DECENT talent, and some motherfuckin discipline. It's good coaching and some skill on the field, that's all it is.

Holding and cutblocking goes a long way for a line that small...hehe

They are balanced. Sure, they suck without the running game. Uh, newsflash: so does KC. And I bet SD would struggle without it, too. In fact, most teams in the entire fricken league would. Running sets up everything. Bottom line, they are a FAR AND AWAY better coached team than us, with more consistently and discipline, defensive talent and offensive balance. Oh, AND special teams to rub salt into the wound. |

What I'm saying is that they have NO passing game without a running game. SD and KC (with Roaf) can sit back and sling the ball if they need to in order to get back into a game. If Plummer has to pass from the pocket he's passing for 40 percent and throwing 3-4 picks. That is not a balanced football team. They are exactly like Pittsburgh. If you can't rely on your QB to win games when the going gets tough, you aren't really balanced.
