So you're saying Heart's music is gay?

If so you better go back and listen some more, those girls in the 70's could rock-n-roll,in fact you need to hear the covers of the Zep songs they did.

Who's that guy that was doing some gay stuff in a bathroom? George Michaels? I like some of his stuff.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-13-2006 12:37 AM

I second the George Michael, and sprinkle on a dab of Wham!

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-13-2006 12:39 AM

Shit.

Depeche Mode
New Order
The Cure

I sense a strong correlation btw new wave and homoness according to the thread starter :hmmm:

I agree. Heart may be a lot of things, but "gay" isn't one of them, unless he is referring to the music itself being "gay" in the non-sexual sense (admittedly, some of their 80s stuff got downright sappy). Hell, Nancy Wilson is married to their bassist (or ex-bassist, I don't know if he's still there or not), or so I've been told.

You are referring to music right and not the bathroom stuff...?

htismaqe 04-13-2006 05:28 AM

David Bowie and Freddie Mercury are two of my all-time favorites, gay or otherwise.

Okay, by obviously gay, are we talking, members of the band are gay, or gay lyrics, or both?

Queen members were not all gay and most of their lyrics are not gay, like mustafah, tie your mother down, and so many more.

Judas Priest however, geesh, did Rob write anything that wasn't gay oriented (an overstatement, but still) I like The Ripper, Beyond The Realms of Death and tons of Judas Priest songs.
Let's see, I like the song "Breakfast at Tiffany's"...

I think most of today's newer "pop[ular" music, sounds like a bunch of whining fucking maggots.

Here is a prime example, the band "New Found Glory" calls themselves a "punk"band. Check out the song, "This Disaster" what a bunch of girls. what has happened to dudes!!!

Okay, I am obviously getting carried away here, sorry

carry on

It's gay for a dude to listen to them. I'd never listen to them openly. Headphones only.

The Cure(Robert Smith) are damn creative and I like the idea of a very artistic pop band. They have catchy songs as well as alot experimental stuff. Depeche Mode just have a 'darkside of humanity ' vibe going for them that I really enjoy. It's cool that some artistic bands can actually find the success that these two bands have had at their peak.

Does the Brokeback Mountain soundtrack count as "gay music" ?

=P
