Sad that E. Brand is not even being seriously considered. Most underrated player in the NBA, IMO

I just think anybody could have coached Jordan, pipen ands co to championships

and when Kobe and Shaq got in to their catfight, that's when they needed a coach, and he didn't coach

Great player. He gets consideration from the Clipper announcers. ROFL

A Lakers/Clippers meeting in the second round would be the bomb-diggity. We OWN them recently.

Kobe and Shaq just like Michael and Scottie have zero championships when playing without Phil, that's just a fact.

To say anybody could have coached those championships is way out there if you ask me.

I think that would be something special for the NBA and something that could spark a lot of interest after things have been going so bad for the last couple of years.

Looking into my crystal ball I see a whole lot of Clippers fans cashing in on those playoff tickets. It would be like 7 home games for the Lakers. ROFL ROFL ROFL

Not if Penny Marshall, Billy Crystal or Frankie Muniz have anything to say about it!

Penny is at all of the LA games. BIG Laker fan too. We shall see if it happens. I'll bet there will be a lot more Lakers fans at Clippers games than Clippers fans at Lakers games though.

I've been a huge Phil fan since he became a head coach, his approach is unique among coaches. He recognized that X and O coaching is not all it takes in the modern NBA, you also have to get into the heads of the noveau-riche ghetto baller who doesn't need to be yelled at by a white man making less than he does or the tightly-wrapped layer who responds better to talk than scream. He figures out what strings to pull with each player and mind-****s them into playing as a team.

IMO Riley recognized the mega-talents his players had and created a new brand of basketball the likes of which hasn't been seen before or since.

Regardless of the era Auerbach did what no one else has and IMO deserves to be the standard.

Hard to say who is the greatest coach of all time just like it is to say who is the greates player of all time (MJ? Wilt? etc.).

Well that was a good game but losing sucked. Hopefully they can pull ou the next game and send it back to LA even.

The Spurs friggen spanked them Queens. ROFL

Artest guaranteed a victory in the series. What a moron.

BIG_DADDY 04-27-2006 09:56 AM

Well that's what I was looking for taking one game in Phoenix. I still think the pressure is on the Lakers to win the next one. If they can win the next two on their home court it's over though. I have a feeling this series is going to be a dog fight. I would love to see an all LA series next.

I expect the Lakers to take the Suns to 7 games but fall just short. Kwame Brown won't continue to play like he has played these past 2 games. Marion HAS to step up his game, they can't afford for him to brick majority of his shots and not grab any offensive rebounds. Remember he was top 5 in Rebounding this year.

I would love to see a Clippers/Lakers game next round, as it would be the first time they would face each other in the NBA playoffs.

I hope the Lakers pull it out. If they do I will get a sweet payout at +300. The odds are now at +145 for the Lakers to win the series. It was funny to see everyone bashing Kobe for being a ball hog and now the exact opposite is true. I will also laugh my ass of if Nash gets MVP and the Lakers who never supposed to be close tot he playoffs end up beating the Suns who are supposed to be here. The key is for the Lakers to stay physical and play D first. I think they have a pretty decent shot at this point.
