Oh yeah, how can I forget? with Javon Walker going to Denver, I think I want Ty Law now. Patrick Surtain and Ty Law covering Rod Smith and Javon Walker? Im fine with that.

Edwards I don't know enough about, but Peterson makes me wonder about the validity of that statment.

Not on the Dewayne Washington wagon this season?

Although I appreciate Jason's useage of The Lexicon...he's completely missed the boat on this article.

KC is neglecting the key ingredient to their potent offense...a franchise FB.

By ignoring the position in the draft, this team is toast.

Let him do his thing. IMO, if he breaks down it's because we have him on pace to shatter attempts in a season records.

I agree, he can't just up and change his running style, especially when it's working for him, and I really don't expect him to. I'm just pointing out that his particular style makes him a bigger and more promising target for defenders. He's not slippery and overly agile like Priest and Barry. As one writer put it recently (I forget if it was an article or a post), his success so far has come from him simply being the strongest mofo on the field, just powering his way over and through defenders, and his battle-testing has so far spanned just over half a season. I'm just saying that his particular style is tempting fate, and eventually he's going to come across somebody who he can't run over or run through, and that someone is gonna punish him. That's why it is good to have a quality backup, just in case. Of course, with Quentin Griffin added to the roster, and if Priest does come back in good health again, we'll have that prospect wrapped up.

Nope. After the Broncos got Javon Walker, I kinda changed my mind.

JASON WHITLOCK
Kansas City Star

You can’t expect Edwards to “coach up” this team into the playoffs.

Another pile of drivel from Whitlock....especially this bit.

Herm had better be able to coach up this team into the playoffs. It's not like we're the Texans. We missed the playoffs last year by the slimmest of margins, and would have been comfortable if Roaf had remained healthy. If hiring Herm isn't enough (in and of itself) to put this team over the top, then he was a bad hire. I bet anything that Herm has enough confidence in himself to think he can do it. JMO.
