Bell is a former DRoY, Johnson is a 2nd-year player from a shitty defense.

Alot of what goes into Madden ratings is based on past performance, not current performance, athleticism, or potential.

BTW banyon, you do realize they they rated Bartee an 82 as a FS, not a CB. Right?

Also of note is that they rated Brodie Croyle's throwing power and accuracy pretty high:
THP - 90
THA - 85
He just needs experience to raise that awareness:
AWR - 67

I wouldn't rate Bartee as 82 to lay down the sod on the field.

Surely you meant to apply that logic solely to the Johnson/Bell comparison.

If based on past performance also, then Bartee's career 0 INT's should knock him down a peg or two. Also, Allen had good numbers that should be better than Hall's.

Bartee always has good ratings in Madden because he has all the physical skills, can tackle, and there's only one category for "awareness" to help bring your overall number down.

In other words, there's no category for neck rotation ability. ;)

I didn't say it was necessarily based on numbers.

It's more like the Pro Bowl. Kendrell Bell has a "name".

They've got Huard as the THIRD STRINGER-LOL and a overall rating of 65.

I checked the Saints, and Fuj is rated 83... Still bringing it in moderation.
