The funniest part for me at the time was the replay of the Cardinal players all standing around and looking at each other, trying to figure out where the ball was - while the play was still going on. :)

I was at that game in Phoenix, along with the rest of the Chiefs fans consisting of 75% of the stadium.

My dad, and all of my family from Tuscon were at that game, but I couldn't go because I was still in school. Sure would be nice if we still had family there now, not that I'm not glad they are closer, but I would have loved to go to the game this yr.

I remember that play well. I was actually laughing while it was happening, it was so absurd.

There are three huge plays that stick out me the most. I dont know why the third one does, but I think It's one of my last fond memories of the d.
1. The Bono run
2. Joe Montana monday night footballl touchdown pass to win the game
3. It was a shovel pass Elway threw in denver I believe, and Neil Smith? picked it off am I crazy?? I think it was raining????
someone help me out here please!

you think vick will ever become the next steve bono

The Dude Abides 09-21-2006 02:53 PM

I remember that play. Probably why I bought a Bono jersey. I know, I know!

RINGLEADER 09-21-2006 03:03 PM

Bono evened it out with the time he ran into a pile of defenders and one of them just pulled the ball out of his hands and ran it back the other way...That was the thing with Bono - for every 70+ yard bootleg touchdown he'd do something boneheaded...

Spott 09-21-2006 03:03 PM

I was at that game back in 95. Every one in the stadium thought Marcus had the ball because we always gave it to him on 3rd and 1.

HemiEd 09-21-2006 03:07 PM

That was fun to watch again. IIRC, prior to that play, Bono had never even scrambled for positive yardage. LMAO

It's actually the Cards, defending against the Chiefs, in '95.

Yes, you are crazy.

ChiefEd 09-21-2006 03:36 PM

I was at that one! Great Play. Where is Bono now anyway? I think Herm needs to make a call...

Chiefs Pantalones 09-21-2006 03:48 PM

Is that still the longest run by a QB?

Deberg_1990 09-21-2006 05:12 PM

Whats funny is, I think Buddy Ryan was the HC of the Cards at the time and he was known as a defensive genius.
