or maybe your DTV box has one in it, in which case you just need to connect an aerial to it?

The problem is that I have a DVR. The DTV dish I need for the DVR doesn't pick up local channels. To get the local channels I have a UHF antenna hooked up to the DVR, which picks up every channel except 2, which as luck would have it, is the CBS affiliate. The DTV dish that picks up local channels isn't compatible with the DVR (Catch-22 situation from hell). So I can't get CBS in HD, and if the Chiefs game is being broadcast locally, DTV blocks out the specific HD channel, so I'm screwed.

Would this tuner work with my DVR?

that suggests your DVR has a tuner in it already, and that the issue is that you're just in a shit spot for revieving the CBS affilliate. A different (more sensitive?) tuner might pick up the signal, the only way of knowing is by testing them. As for working with your DVR, i doubt it, youd have to use a separate input on your tv.

There are other people in my area (HemiEd and Swanman) who have the same problem. The DVR won't pick up Channel 2 because it broadcasts on a low frequency. If it was any other channel, it wouldn't be a problem.

I would have to get an outside aerial antenna to pick up Channel 2 in HD. I can't do that because I live in a condo.

I've been all through this. Until DTV comes out with a new dish which will pick up local channels AND be compatible with the DVR, I'm just shit outta luck. Although I've been told that this will happen next year (right after football season ends, I'm sure :# ).

Like, why would that on little area of Texas (Amarillo?) on the CBS map get the Miami-New England Game? No divisional interest or regional interest which other games would have.

Looks like Lubbock; probably Zach Thomas/Welker Texas Tech connection.

I'll be at the mercy of the game-streaming soothsayers of Chiefsplanet.

Good Call. :)

Can you do Eastern Washington on that game?

Or Hawaii and the NYJ/Jax game?

Your chances of finding a regional game like this on TVU are pretty low. It's possible, but I doubt it. Here's a listing of known streamed games, just in case, though.

Oh, and it WILL be on Sopcast. Guaranteed.

I believe you're thinking of the NBC affiliate, but I could be wrong.

I shouldn't have cancelled my Sunday ticket. This is the second week in a row I'll have to go to the bar to watch the game. Screw the Bears.
