Starship Troopers. I want someone to make it so that it doesn't suck. Maybe by actually doing a movie based on the book instead of masturbating with a camera.

That's another one they've been kicking around the last few years (and another of my cult favs ... LOVE Jenny Agutter). I thought at one point Tim Burton was connected to it.

It would be tough to replace Jenny in a remake. :thumb:

Rather than remaking an old one I'd like to see some of my favorite sci-fi books made into movies. There are a shitload of books and book series that would be great. The Lensmen series by Doc Smith, for one. I saw an ad for a midnight showing of an anime movie based on Lensmen back in the early 90's but I didn't have a chance to go and have never found it again. Almost anything by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Almost any book by Robert Heinlein.

Meh, I think the Harryhausen stop-motion stuff is more charming and impressive than the CGI they'd use on a remake.

I still watch those movies just for that.

Ray Harryhausen was the shit, no doubt, but I'd still like to see them update it. A Clash of the Titans remake is in order, too.

Maybe "The Omega Man" would be good. We can do a lot better with deformed, nocturnal zombies today as compared to 30 years ago.

You could do some good CGI stuff with apocolypic biological weapons and unpleasant microbes and things, too.

That's yet another they've kicked around. I think that also may have been pegged as an Arnold pic. And yet another movie I love.

I also think that "Creature From The Black Lagoon" would be worthy of consideration.

Ah, thank you (and thanks to Google image search). The scene in Logan's Run where they change into furs when they get to Box's lair is near and dear to my heart because it was one of the very first nude scenes that a very young arc had seen.
