Yeah it is pretty sad when ESPN and the Media make him out to be something special... He cheated, plain and simple...

Take note kids, ESPN says you can cheat and win, Cheaters do win.

14 out of 18 say "No?" THERE goes the board credibility......Haven't you ever heard the saying, "Don't be a hater?" The guy's a star, that got whacked with a tainted supplement, and, right after the suspension, picked right up where he left off. He has continued his NFL onslaught, and has been tested clean a number of times, and will be, a thousand MORE times......Call me if he ever tests positive again. I'll lead the charge to throw him out......

I'm sorry, he cheated. He was caught and suspended. He shouldn't be rewarded with a birth on the pro bowl roster. :shake:

No here..altho he probably isnt the only player there cheating...

I don't think anyone who has served a suspension during the season or those who are under charges that could lead to suspension, should be recognized as one of the NFL's elite for that season.

He's still an absolute impact player on the D side of the ball something we are sorely lacking....

When it was reported on ESPN that Merriman was suspended, I'll bet everyone knew what his excuse would be.

Do your homework before you start spewing all kinds of nonsense like "He's on Roids" or "He cheated".

There was a small amount of Nandrolone found in his system. If you do some research on the world of supplements, you'll find that many supplements go unchecked in regards to whats actually in them. Its not like he was sticking needles in his ass or something. He was using the same supplement since training camp and was tested several times BEFORE AND AFTER he tested positive. Both came out negative.

The NFL has a no tolerance policy and furnishes a list of approved supplements. Anyone who chooses to go elsewhere does so AT THEIR OWN RISK. For this he is guilty and deserves the suspension. There is no denying his god given abilities however. He will finish atop the league sack leaders at the end of the season even after missing 4 games.

The San Diego Chargers put out a statement giving Merriman their FULL SUPPORT along with his teamates. Do you thing the org. would further taint their name if they didnt believe him.

Furthermore, the COACHES, FANS, AND PLAYERS voted Merriman in. What does that tell you? (I expect a barrage of smart ass remarks with this question, I wont be surprised)

Anybody who knows anything about the "inside" world of sports knows this. Im not advocating it, but if someone really wanted to "cheat" by using steroids, there are numerous ways to do this. Even though they can test you at any given time. Yet another example of why this story is a bit fishy.
