You're reeruned.

I'm starting to feel for the kstaters out there. They had 20 years like this in a row.

Mmmmkay. Over as in KU losing in the first round of the NIT? Wouldn't count on it.

Thanks for helping get Wooly fired, and Huggins hired!

Big deal, coaching change and these aren't Mike Andersons guys. He is going to be a good coach for this team. They don't exactly have the greatest talent on the floor but he gets them to play hard. Just wait and see.

The Chiefs haven't won a Super Bowl since we got rid of Steadman as GM. Are you sorry to see him go? What about Paul Wigman? Still long for the days when Gunther was the head coach? How about the good old days when we had Paul Hackett as the offensive coordinator? Do you miss having Greg Robinson as defensive coordinator? How about QB Elvis Grbac? What about Lew Bush at LB?

Sully 02-03-2007 07:37 PM

The difference between Huggins and Anderson is that Huggins coaches a style, and Anderson coaches a system. (or so I keep telling myself)

What I mean by that is this... Huggins can come in and impose his style of play on any type of player, and that player will probably be better. But with Anderson's system, he actually needs a certain type of player. By that reasoning (still sticking with it), it will take Anderson longer to build what needs to be built.

As for the Opening question. I am ECSTATIC that Quin is gone, and also ECSTATIC that Anderson is Mizzou's coach. They are fun to watch, they play with heart, and Anderson seems 10x more in control than Quin ever did.

PastorMikH 02-03-2007 07:39 PM

Yep.

FWIW, I think once Anderson gets some more depth consisting of players for his system we will be fine. They seem to be playing with most anyone for 30 minutes and in the last 10 minutes seem to be running out of gas.

I was so sick of seeing them lazily trot down the court, pull up for a three and while the shooter is releasing the other 4 players are getting back for D instead of working for rebounds.

And like Sully just said, the Tigers are fun to watch now.

With Quinn gone, they don't have to worry about finishing 5th almost every year anymore.
