Nope. Now more than ever the Chiefs have all the leverage. Trent can sign for (much) less or we cut him. Huard = insurance and negotiations leverage.

I've heard from a few of the wiser folks here that Trent will never coach, but I don't think I've ever been told why.

Doesn't want to invest the time sink required to be a coach. He's spent enough time away from his family as a player. He's bigtime into his kids and wife, and he wants to enjoy them. An NFL coach has less family time than a player.
