It's not that I can't hear, or that the sound is distorted, but the sound is filtered, seemingly before my receptors receives it, through a paper bag or some sort that creates a rustling overlay, like is I were listening to something in a gale force wind.
I have some hypotheses about ear wax, but haven't found a correlation I can announce with confidence.

Stewie is correct. From the diagram below, you can see that all you need is to have your ossicles rebuilt and to change out your cochlea fluid.

And don't go to Jiffy Lube. I hear they cheat you.

I've never broken anything, had surgery, or even had stitches. I guess I'm just lucky. *has heart attack and dies*

I am a brain cancer survivor - they opened me up with a skill saw tyope deal and removed a softball sized, Grade III Anaplastic Astrocytoma from my head..."but I'm feeling much better now"

I also have arthritis in both knees, shoulders and my left hand as well, where I was hit by a car as a kid; all the bones were broken.

I also had an accident in college where all of my tendons (left forearm) were fully severed and alsdo the Median nerve was cut almost completely in half. I lost 15% mobility of my left hand (I am a lefty) and had to learn to write right handed.

Ironically, my handwriting is MUCH better with my right hand for some reason.

I had that once, it lasted 5 days, I HATED it!

I've had every bone in my body broken, twice, a liver transplant, three limbs amputated, a lobotomy, heart transplant, lower intestine removed, dentures and a sex change.

My spirit was broken on a cold winter day back in 1995.
