They could go 0-16 and still get 5 or 6 nationally televised games. For better or worse, they are one the the "Flagship" teams in the NFL.

seven home games in October/November...

..this will feel like the shortest season ever at Arrowhead.

Simplex3 04-14-2007 08:12 AM

I'm sure this has NOTHING to do with King Carl showing up and pissing in everyone's Wheaties every year at the league meetings.

Carl probably figured no one would show up to a home game the last month of the season without the warm feeling of a rolling roof over their heads....

Therefore; he told the league to put them on the road !!

stevieray 04-14-2007 08:25 AM

It might be to accomodate the rennovations.....

StcChief 04-14-2007 08:27 AM

I wonder if this is a rotational thing that some times teams have to do every few years.....

scheduling 32 teams maybe it works out that way?

NFL question.

THAT'S IT !!!

Carl want's the Chiefs to be on the road justtttttttttttttttttttttttt long enough so construction crew's can remove the upper and middle levels of Arrowhead; therefore leaving just the lower bowl section of Arrowhead...

Reason being -- Carl know's they will suck arse this year -- and he want's to be sure they still sell out in 2008 !!!

NFL execs have a MUCH higher opinion of Carl than people in KC do.

This schedule is perfect for the Chiefs. Herm can't get this team up to play to start the year-so it makes sense to go on the road where we lose anyway.

We usually kick ass in the middle of the season- so that is perfect to be at home, where the fans can get their hopes up after the typical bad start.

Chiefs get tired and quit after Thanksgiving and just want to go home- so might as well let the fade happen on the road so they have the excuse of a bad schedule instead of lack of heart, another year of horrible coaching and below average talent.

Its perfect!

no matter how shitty the chiefs may be, they did make the playoffs last year, and no way should a team that did not make the playoffs have more primetime games than one who did.

With Lamar's good influence gone, maybe nothing held the league back from total disdain of Kansas City. RIP, Mr. Hunt. We miss you already.
