The Royals WILL get better this season, but that's not saying much considering how horrible they are/have been.

Our bullpen has so many injuries that many pitchers are being forced to pitch out of their role, but our pitching has actually shown improvement this season - despite some particularly horrific innings (like the 6th tonight).

I think the offense can only improve, and I agree with you about Sweeney and Shealy. The middle of our batting order is getting NOTHING done, which explains why so many of our runners are left stranded on base.

Anyways, we may be stumbling out of the gate like usual, but I'm also looking forward to seeing some improvement at the hands of Dayton Moore's doing this season. Hell, at least we have a GM who's making things happen and pointing us in the right direction for the first time in over a decade.
