Whoa. You're right. I assumed since it was only 3 games it was mostly a fluke, probably against worse teams than they played the rest of the season. But they played Cal and Florida. Can't complain about that.

I just hope that a tradedown doesn't cost them Harrell, or Jarrett or Meachum, and they wind up settling for a Tank Tyler or similiar type deal.

I really think they are targeting Eric Wright

I'd be concerned about that pick in light of the recent suspensions handed down to Pacman and Chris Henry.

Regardless of how things played out for Wright, there have to be character concerns.

The Saints have 3 forth round picks that are nearly in a row. One of those is ours. Back up 4 spots to #27 and recoup our 4th maybe? Looks like that would eliminate the 3 Wr's from your list, but Harrell might still be there at that point.

I've thought about the Saints as a trade partner and it leads me to the question "Who would be there at #23 that would compell them to trade up?".

Darrell Revis would probably be gone.

I don't know if there's anything about some of the other CBs that separate them from each other enough to trade up.

I don't really know who else at another position would be there that they might have targeted.

This mock shows them taking Jarrett. If they think we may take Jarrett, might be able to do a pretty good deal.

The draft points for the 4 spots is 80 points...

Maybe we could get 2 4th rounders if we played our cards right. If not, a 4th and 5th would be about right by the points.

I like Jarrett, but I don't believe that he separates himself from the other receivers in the draft to get the Saints to move up for him.

I just don't know that there's any individual player that would be sitting there that would motivate the Saints to move up.

Not that you guys give a rat's ass, but i'm good with Beason and Griffin for the Pats. :thumb:

I like Jarrett too. Would be thrilled if he is our pick. And I am not at all sure what player might be there to cause any team to want to move up, and why we might want to pass on that particular player if he is available. We have a lot of holes to fill as well.

Hope that made sense.

Didn't want to leave any lingering doubt, you know.

I'd really like to be able to trade down, but the only way I see that happening is if it takes us out of the first round altogether, a scenario really would not surpise me, and one which I am actually expecting.

It's the only way I see the Chiefs stockpiling picks like Herman ****ing Edwards would like to do.
