Mayweather is gonna kick his ass.

It really seems like they are hyping this one, trying to breath some life back into boxing...i still cant bring myself to care.

Boxing, for all intents & purposes, is dead, MMA is the future.

None of these boxers would last 1 round in the cage.

I can't imagine Oscar beating anyone right about now

Personally after watching these HBO 24/7 specials I have a very strong dislike for Mayweather, one of the scenes with he and his boy 50 cent left a bad taste in my mouth and I hope that somehow De La Hoya on Cinco De Mayo will get in a punch that knocks his cocky ass out.

Yeah, it gavels my ass to have to fork out that kind of green if a guy wants to watch the fight and normally I would say the hell with it. BUT....Mrs. Bwana is out of town so I'm smoking ribs right now for the evening feast. I also plan on drinking some tasty adult beverages later and putting a dent in the beer supply out in the man fridge. With this in mind, the next logical step is to order the damn fight. I will also record it as well. I have been waking up at 3 AM for the past 4 nights and it's catching up with me. God forbid if I shelled out $55 bones, fell asleep in my recliner and missed the fight. :shake:

I was going to hit the Wild West Saloon and play some poker, but with my new found lack of sleep, that would be a bad idea. When I do play, I get a little bent if I lose, which normally doesn't happen. I figure with the sleep thing, I would lose my edge and take a beating, so I tossed that idea out the window.

In the long run, staying home and shilling out the money for the fight will likely cost me less money. :)

I ordered it in high def. I never ordered fights, so i said the hell with it. I wanna watch this bitch in 1080i. Wish direct tv was 1080p though. Anyways, It should be a good one. IF Oscar cant knock him down Meyweather wil win by decision. I just dont see Floyd trying to stay in there and slug it out. Floyd is a great boxing dont get me wrong, but i dont think he's ever been in a high profle fight like this. Its going to be fun.

I'm reminded of Hagler/Leonard,Leonard was supposedly washed up,bad eye etc. Hagler was supposed to kill him, still one of the greatest fights ever.

For those in KC, the 810 Zone on 119th St. in Leawood is showing the fight. No cover charge, but you might eat and drink more than the PPV would cost.

Valiant 05-05-2007 12:39 PM

Just go to hooters, they always have the fights on...

HolmeZz 05-05-2007 01:09 PM

Hopefully Mayweather lays the smack down.

I saw Oscar getting a shady decision in a big fight once before, so I'm inclined to think the same thing could happen if it goes to the judges.

He wont win if it goes to 12 rounds. I seen Oscar lose fights going into a decision when he had one. It cannot go 12 rounds or he will lose.

Damn good first fight so far.
