jared does fine against the run. He came in with a couple big hits today against the run.
|
JA has an opportunity to get there, but he's not there yet.
I did like the pass today. The first time I've seen any kind of ingenuity in the Chiefs offense. |
I want to know many things on that touch down pass. First off was huard try to throw it as ****ing high as possible. he threw that thin straight up. Second wha tthe hell did that linebacker think was going to happen. even if jared is in there to run block he isn't going to make the tackle to the right side. Then I just have to think to myself in practice did they tell jarred how to sell the fake or do you think he was sitting there overacting because you know he is wacko. I ran that play through my mind though. Ok you aren't a guy who plays offense. you snap the ball make a block get off the block run to the corner then turn your head to pick up this sky ball. Have enough concentration to haul it in and get a cheek in bounds. i bet that play happened in fast forward as jared was playing. I just think it was insane to see a guy pick up the ball haul it in stay in bounds for a defensive player. i would like to say "he is that good of a football player" but i bet he only catches and stays in on that play 1 out of 10 times.

If Allen is smart, he will get the hell out of KC as fast as he can. Loyalty doesnt get you rings. Ask Tony Gonzalez. I love Tony, but he was a complete fool to stay in KC when he couldve gotten out. I think he could have left twice.
Best tight end in the league, and has NEVER won a playoff game. When his career is over and he has all those accolades and no rings, he will be kicking himself in the ass for not going to a contender and getting himself a ring like Corey Dillon did. He was another guy that was the star player on a team that just couldnt get it done. Finally he leaves and gets himself a ring. Tony should do the same if he wants to win a playoff game. I dont want that type of career for Jared Allen. I think he's awesome and Id love to see him as a Chief, but a guy with his motor and determination deserves to be on a winning team. The Chiefs have had their head up their ass for years now. They arent going to just suddenly turn it around. He should bail into free agency and go to a team that knows what the objective in the NFL really is. A SUPERBOWL WIN. Not your goddamn bottom line, Carl. |
A year without a Santa and Rudolph is on tv tomorrow.

Anyway, people take what I say way to over the top. I said coming into this year I considered him a very good player that was a tier under the elite guys, which meant 2nd tier, I thought the same of Aaron Kampman. This year both guys have made great strides at moving into the elite group with guys like Peppers and Umenyiora. I think if Allen and Kampman can sustain what they have done this year for 2 more years they can be the top guys 1-2. But I have a hard time moving Peppers and Freeney when they have been the guys year in and year out for 4-5 years. But I think those are the top 5 ends in no specific order......Allen, Kampman, Umenyiora, Peppers, Freeney..... |

I'd say Tony Gonzalez, Dwayne Bowe, Derrick Johnson and Jared Allen are the only four players that are worth a damn right now for the Chiefs... Bashing him seems a little inappropriate... |
The whole defense disappears in 2nd halfs....
|
the whole offense disappeared two years ago...
|
The Chiefs are just vastly untalented, the roster needs an enema...so does the organization in general.
|
You could easily make the argument that he's #1 right now, especially if sacks are the preeminent stat to judge them by...right now he leads the pack, so yes, he's #1.
Throwing a guy like Peppers in there doesnt count, not this year...the guy has quit on his team & hasnt accomplished squat this year...if were gonna judge players by who USED to be tops, then Mark Gastineau is #1. Without Jared, this team would...oh, i dont even wanna think about it. Team MVP, hands down. |
Top-tier in the NFL.... damn sure MVP of Chiefs ....
