What's the spread? Like 12, right?

2 TDs is alot to give to a really good team. The bye week and home field advantage are nothing to be sneezed at however.

I'd be very surprised if we couldn't do a decent job of stuffing their run and forcing the QB to win it for them. I'm not saying they'll get 2 yards per carry, but I dont' think you'll see them steamroll us. Even if we're putting 8 in the box all night, using Rodney Harrison as a LB, effectively, or even playing a "true" 4-4. Count on BB to not let us lose in the manner the Jags want to play the game.

After review, even though they are probably the best and most complete team in the history of the universe, my titty graph indicates that the odds against the Pats running the table are astronomical. The ball just bounces funny sometimes. Even the idiot Giants gave them a bit of a scare. Not only that, but karma is definitely not in Belichick's favor. That fact should not be discounted.

I don't think the Pats will go undefeated, but I don't think the Jags have what it takes to knock them off. Maybe Brady will have a bad day, though. A few picks could well shatter this dream season. Plus, Mr. Amnorix, the NFL is probably talking with the game officials at this moment. I'm not sure that, after Videogate, they want Belichick to win it all. That would give the league a black eye.

It would be highly ironicalish if the Pats spend all year kicking ass and running up scores only to miss out on the Super Bowl.

The pundits are stupid. I think the Pats will beat them by at least 2 TD's maybe more. The Jags have been running their mouths alot so that shouldn't help any.

Pats, but how will you feel about the season should they not run the table? IMO, regardless of how it turns out, they've had a miraculous season. SD would be who I'd be wary of.

Garrard is decent, but hes no Tom Brady. He wont be able to match Brady blow for blow.

Pats - 35

Jags -17

Jags

I think the Pats are due for a letdown. When the Chiefs played the Jags didn't they just beat the shit out of them physically? Jags defensive line is a bunch of tough f***ers. I think Del Rio finds a way to pull it out with ball control.

I might worry about SD if the Colts don't kill 'em this weekend, but I'm pretty confident that they will, so I'm not. :D

Colts worry me plenty.

The answer is I'd be very disappointed, but would still be very proud of an extremely terrific regular season. If we lost a close one to the Colts, it would be bitterly disappointing, but the Colts are also a GREAT team (15-1 but for a missed easy figgie in SD, when they had a bunch of injuries), so I hardly think it's embarassing to lose.

Losing to the Jags would admittedly be alot less acceptable.

What's really funny is they are switching the Board over in the middle of that game.

What a shame :p

I dunno, it's not like New England was going to come in there unfocused. Jacksonville could probably do with a little swagger, you know, a little confidence in themselves going into the lion's den like they are.

Agreed. The people picking the Jags are just trying to look smart in the off chance that the Jags pull out a win.

Aint gonna happen.

Well, if voo-doo dolls, chicken bones, monkey feet soaked in Chinese vodka and cosmic justice work the way they're supposed to then the Jags win on a last second tuck rule challenge while Bill "video cheater" Bellyache clutches his chest and screams, "I'm coming, Elizabeth! This is the big one!"

el borracho 01-10-2008 08:48 PM

But more likely the Pats win by 2 touchdowns. At least Carl says the good teams will suck next year while our crappy team will be good. Hooray!

And alot of them are using the trusty "I think the Patriots will win but it would not shock me if the Jags upset them" Then no matter how the game comes out they can say I told you so!

Mecca 01-10-2008 09:54 PM

The fact that the Jags are running their mouths tells me it will be a blowout. So far this year opening your mouth has resulted in the Pats laying the rape.
