I'm not saying that he isn't a great quarterback. I just think that those who are saying he is the best ever (and there are an increasing number of them) are overrating him just a tad.

And, yes, he is surrounded by an excellent team and great coaching staff. Put him on the '77 Buccs and see how he does. Let him bring even a mediocre team to a big win, then call him amazing. (Maybe he'll do this some day, by the way -- if he has a career as long as Elway, Favre, and Montana, he's bound to play for a mediocre team someday.)

Oh brother....if you dont think hes one of the best ever, your kidding yourself.

Hes in his 7th season as starter and on his way to his 4th Championship.

Yea, hes overrated ROFL

Adept Havelock 01-13-2008 11:42 AM

Jag's S Reggie Nelson, the biggest moron in FL...and that alone sets the bar quite high. LMAO

He's got three rings, rook. How about you? LMAO

Prior to this year, his teams were by no means elite. He's got an excellent team this year, but he's never had an elite WR before this year, and he's already won already won three superbowls.

He's probably not the most talented QB to ever play the game, but he's got to be one of the smartest. I won't crown him the best ever yet, but he's getting pretty damn close.

Is this the same Reggie Nelson who I saw get his ass beat all night long Saturday?

Any year besides this one, and that Jaguars team is stacked to make a run to the SuperBowl. I'm sure the Pats will be good next year, and the year after, and the year after, but I'm not sure they can continue the insanity we've seen week in, week out. I'd love the Chiefs to play like the Jaguars. There's no shame in the way they play..I think if they play the Pats 10 times, they most definately win 4. There's no shame in that.

If the Chiefs are playing the same kind of ball the Jags are here in 3 years, I'd be happy. We'd actually have a prayer.

He is an excellent quarterback.

But I'm not even sure he is the best QB currently playing, let alone the best EVER.

Remember, "EVER" is a very, very long time.

I guess that, to me, it just depends on how you define "best." If we're talking about raw talent, I'd take Manning any day. But if we're talking about ability to find ways to win games, Brady's my choice without blinking.

I wish the Chiefs were full of overrated players like this...

I don't think Manning is "raw talent." The guy controls the offense like few other players can.

I think Favre is better at finding ways to win games.

Off topic, but did Herm really say that in your signature? If so, I want to find him myself and beat the piss out of him.

Yes.

In his season wrap up Press Conference with Carl. I was stunned..............

HypnotizedMonkey 01-13-2008 11:53 AM

Tom Brady didn't even look like he was trying last night... he just whips perfect spirals around like it's nothing, in the playoffs, after going 16-0... people are going to have to face Tom Brady being called the greatest for a while... even if he does wear make-up. lol
