[QUOTE=Deberg_1990]Ill see it of course. IM a sucker for a good Giant Monster movie, but the Blair Witch hand held camera crap, im not sure about. But i guess thats the gimmick.

From everything I've read the plot sounded really stupid, but the monster stuff didn't disappoint.

Fair enough, in Memento (for example)there was unexplained mystery (i.e. whos story can you really belive due to some photos of him with his wife already covered in tattoos) that added to the plot line that leaves the viewer with some intellectual though post viewing. with Jeepers Creepers they didn’t even attempt it....hey lets throw a monster that’s invincible and have it hunt kids and listen to that oldies song "Jeepers Creepers" and have it playing the entire time throughout the movie to annoy the F*** out of anyone who dare watches it.

trust me Deberg, i like a good thinking mans movie to which you can fill in the puzzles yourself by simple contemplation however, there’s a fine line between genius and lazy writing.

That is what makes the best movies to me as well. I also enjoy movies that have several great characters that ends up tying them all together in the end... Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch are 2 very good examples of those types of movies (both of which are Guy Richie films).

60% and above is considered good....

77% and it is "certified fresh!" at Rottentomatoes.com which means they approve! It's got many reviews, they base the % off those.

I've been reading some other online reviews, Mr. Nzoner and they're all over the map. Apparently, this movie isn't for everybody. Maybe one of those films that you have to be predisposed to enjoy.

What do you guys think the monster is? I've been googling up a lot of stuff (and searching the internet, too) and, apparently, some people think it's a giant whale creature and others think it's Godzilla.

I just saw it and it was fucking awesome.

keg in kc 01-18-2008 06:17 PM

And why the fuck are they building the Enterprise on the ground?

keg in kc 01-18-2008 06:18 PM

It's not godzilla or a giant whale.

FAX 01-18-2008 06:21 PM

My latest research indicates that the monster is neither a giant whale creature nor Godzilla, but (according to a person who works with JJ Abrams) some kind of enormous alien crab/human hybrid and can be seen in the first explosion in the trailer.

It looked like a cross between a giant squid and something out of HP Lovecraft.
