I will take Bill Parcells judgment over yours any day of the week. I can't believe you have the audacity to second guess Bill Parcells. Is their any end to your arrogance?

Is there some reason for Bill Parcels to be regarded as some kind of draft genius or something? Why is it audacious?

Bill Parcells does have a decent resume.

The funny thing about this pissing match is that nobody knows if Long is a reach or not yet. You'll need to wait a few years before you can claim intellectual superiority.

True, but also doesn't mean he's perfect. This was the guy that traded out of the #1 pick and the chance to draft Orlando Pace to take James Farrior.

Who wouldn't have done that? Farrior is first ballot.

I'm a hopeless NFL junkie. I found someone to pick up my shift for me so I can watch the NFL Draft and get some papers done.

Bill Parcells has successfully rebuilt every team he has been hired on. You don't do that without making solid decisions on players. He has the resume to back it up. What does mr. know it all have to back him up? Nothing. He talks out of his ass constantly on here.

Mecca 04-22-2008 07:02 PM

Parcells draft history is up and down.......Bobby Carpenter and Marcus Spears anyone...

He favors some positions over others and some of them I don't agree with.

If I ruin your life that much ignore me, you bitch like a petulant child when I don't even speak to you, either move on or shut the **** up, it's old.

I would love the Rams to deal the #2 pick with the Jets. That way one of McFadden, Gholston or Ryan would be gone before our pick meaning one of Dorsey, Long or Ellis would be available. I'd love the Jets to trade up for Gholston or McFadden and the Falcons selecting Ryan. Although unlikely, that'd be ideal, IMO.

Great question, and the article doesn't explain.

I can only guess it's because this is kind of an unprecedented move, signing the 1st pick 4 days in advance.

They probably want to cover all the bases before the give STL the green light.

I would be almost anything it's $$$$$. ESPN probably gets big money from advertisers in the first hour of the draft. If everyone already knows the first 4 picks by the time the draft comes around, no one will watch, and ratings will suffer.

Bill Parcells who passed on Orlando Pace and Stephen Jackson for Julius Jones and fucking James Farrior. Who spent a high third round pick on Scott Frost in a draft where he didn't have a pick in the top 50.

He just spent the #1 overall pick on a right tackle.

If Parcells had as much genius as he had bitch tits, he'd actually be what you say he is.

ChiefsCountry 04-22-2008 07:37 PM

Parchells - the draft isnt his best suit, his best is his coaching ability and to mold a team into the 3-4 defensive mode. If you look at his teams, he recyles players through - Giants to Pats to Jets to Cowboys now Dolphins. And those guys fit into what he wants. I wouldnt go out and say he is some mastermind drafter though - his drafts have been pretty average.
