Unless you get better gas mileage with them, who cares, anybody can buy wheels for their car. Dosen't do anything for me.

I probably reduced my gas mileage by about 1 MPG. I rarely have to pay for my gas though unless I'm going on a trip so that's not a big deal to me.

What's the big deal about wheels? Is it just a looks thing, or is there some performance enhancement that I don't know about?

I was at the Porsche site the other day (yes, I'm compensating). Go there http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/cayenne/ and click to build your own Cayenne. Do the regular one, not one of the upscale versions.

So you start to pick the vehicle, which starts out at under $44,000. Then you get to the wheels, and they give a dozen choices, which start out at $0 and go up to an astounding (to me) $7,490! If you asked me to pick amongst those wheels, I don't think I could identify the free one versus the one that costs more than a small motor home. Seriously, what's the deal?

Leave him alone. He's stimulating the economy. And you wonder why you didn't get a stimulus check.

I assure you I gave no where near $7490 for my wheels/tires. And you're right, I did it for the good of the country :p

Personally i thinkthe 20s fill the guards out nicely on that vehicle - not too big to raise the car too much (like 22s would) and minimal gap b/w the guard and rubber.

looks good.

Rain man - for me rim purchase is somewhat analogous to expensive suits. WHy spend two grand on a suit, when the marginal quality increase over a a 300 or 400 dollar suit isn't anywhere near 1500 hundred bucks. Cos you feel good in it.

Thanks, I actually wanted taller tires but there aren't too many options for my car when you get to 20's.

Nice rims... I'm not a ford guy at all though. I don't like the tires on it though, too tuner car looking.

Cars are slow. Get a bike ;)
