All those cats would have sat. If you hadn't noticed we have a PG, SG, SF and at the time Big Ben and Rasheed(Chiefs Fan)Wallace. Sure one of those guys would be nice and you're not telling this Piston fan ANYTHING I didn't already know. However, with LB as coach at the time and a championship caliber team(2004 title) a player like those three wouldn't have wanted to come in and play 20 minutes a night their first couple of years. I'll still take Joe D at the end of the day and you can have all three of those guys. Joe still has 'em covered 3 rings to 1.

That actually sounds rehearsed. Don't tell me you've defended Joe D against similar criticism in the past?

Another interesting element of that draft -- the Grizzlies had traded a future first rounder for Otis freaking Thorpe several years earlier when they were in Vancouver (Stu Jackson was the idiotic GM at the time). This was the last season the pick was lottery protected, and it was only protected if the Grizz got the first pick. Well, with GM Jerry West sitting in the studio, the Grizz defied the odds and were left standing with Cleveland for the first pick. The Grizz either get LeBron to launch their franchise in Memphis full steam ahead, or they are left without a lottery pick in the best draft in recent memory. Of course Cleveland got the pick, and the Grizzlies haven't recovered.

Miami Heat. I understand none of them would have started, but a player of Wade/Anthony/Bosh caliber would get time on the court. Especially the latter two who are much much more complete players than Ben Wallace.

While Joe D has his rings that Pistons team only has 1 and so does Wade. You throw a Bosh or Anthony on the Pistons and I think they have more than 1.

The reason the Pistons haven't advanced to the finals these last few years is because of their offense. They have no one who draws a double-team and against good defensive teams they become a jump-shooting team. Putting a Melo, Wade, or to a lesser degree, Bosh would make them much better.
