I don't really know their respective 40 times but LJ is not just a bruiser- he is really effing fast, too. Charles is probably shiftier and maybe better at turning the corner or slicing through a small break but I don't think he's much (if any) faster than LJ in the open field and I'm pretty sure the difference today was the situation. LJ went inside on a number of downs where there just wasn't any room.

Additionally, while today wasn't a good day for LJ it did have one positive- LJ's foot injury seems like a non-issue.

And didnt you just call Karma in another thread about Brady?

Dude, you have serious issues....

Rushing against a top 10 rushing defense? There are 3 first round picks on their line..

Too early to lose faith in LJ this season.

No vision. Dude just kept running in to walls. Priest was always able to recover and STILL gain yards on the outside.

Slow to the LOS too. I'd rather see Charles and Smith. They both seem to be berrter suited to what we are trying to do. Unfortunately, LJ has the big contract. :cuss:

This was a game that was ther for the taking. I am happy we kept it close. But it reminds me way to much of Indy last year. Way to much.

I'm not sure if Matt Stafford is going to be the guy as an NFL QB, but if he is, I hope we don't screw it up this season and miss out on drafting him by one spot or so.

And he picked up the blitz and caught the only pass his way, but....

I haven't lost faith in LJ. I think he is a great runner when he's angry. Problem is, he hasn't been angry since he got his big paycheck.

Maybe the Chiefs trainers could go down to the rodeo, watch what they do to the bulls before they are turned out of the gate, then go back to Arrowhead and do the same things to Larry.

He has several things working against him starting with the 400 carry season, he got paid already after a contract year, he spends too much time with Jay-Z, and he has a crap OL.

SBK 09-07-2008 11:06 PM

He was done last year. He'll go down as Carl's last 'great' signing.

I think you start Charles with LJ as the backup and that'll do it

That 22 yarder was funny because he went out of bounds instead of sticking it to the DB. Maybe because Mayo was behind him and he was afraid of getting his neck 180'ed again.

Lenny said that Charles has Olympic class speed. I don't know exactly how fast that is, but I'm pretty sure it's faster than LJ speed.

They twist their nuts, Mr. PastorMikH. Who, pray tell, is going to volunteer to do that to LJ?

If you run up the ass two hundred times in a row behind a bad offensive line, what the **** do you expect his stats to reflect?

Gee, they deviated from their up-ass-all-day strategy once and he gained 20 yards. Imagine that.

Charles is ****ing awesome, though.

As much as I loved that brash, downright mean aspect of his running style, ducking out of bounds is a hell of a lot better for lengthening a running back's already-limited career. If ducking out when he can keeps him on the field, good on him.

Put a flank strap on Larry?
